Crock pot ribs

Work has started on our kitchen.  This is a picture of the kitchen looking into the mudroom.  The arched door was added later, we have exposed the original doorway on the right.  There was wood floor under layers of linoleum.  It is loud and dusty to be in my house right now.  And cold.  The crew sets up a negative pressure, to help keep the dust out of the house.  It also helps all the heat leave the house.  I think that when the demolition stops, the dust will diminish.

Crock pots meals are easier when I am busy with the carpenters, electricians and plumbers.

We have new favorite way to cook country pork ribs, adapted from Diana Rattray at About.com.  Spray a crockpot with Pam.  Layer sliced onions.

Put in 4 pounds of country pork ribs, sprinkle with a t of salt, 1/2 t pepper, garlic.

Coat with 1/2 cup apple juice and cook for 8 hours on low.  Drain the liquid from the pork and add the barbeque sauce and cook for one more hour.  Easy and delicious.
